Spring 2026
Letter III · To a first-time guest.
A short letter placed on the nightstand of every first-time guest.
Welcome. Your room was set by a person, not a system. The kitchen is open; someone from the household is there most hours, and if they are not, the kettle is.
The library is organized by temperament rather than by subject. You will find it easier to read what you need than to search for it.
You will not be asked to perform during your visit. You will not be asked to produce. You will be asked only to be honest about what the room reveals to you. That is the entire curriculum.
